The Networking Silicon Engineering division of NVIDIA is seeking an Intern with experience in Applied physics and Electro-optics to join the Advanced Development (AD) team in Yokneam. The AD group is doing research and development of next generation optoelectronic devices and systems for high-speed communication.
The Intern will be part of an innovative Quantum communications project requiring both theoretical and experimental work within the scientific framework and advanced lab facilities our group has to offer.
Work duration: 4 months full time starting November/December 2021 (to March/April 2022).

What You Will Be Doing
- Implement a QKD (Quantum Key distribution) scheme on an optical table
- Characterize the various physical components of the Rx and Tx in the context of QKD and analyze the results
- Developing SW for the QKD protocol
- Providing insights for tradeoffs in components specifications vs system performance requirements
- Engage in research of advanced components for the technology
What We Need To See
- Master/ advanced undergrad
- Background: physics, electrical engineering
- Optical lab hands-on experience
- SW: Python and/or Matlab coding
Work duration: 4 months full time starting November/December 2021 (to March/April 2022).
