In this position, you will:
Be responsible for Datapath (imaging) software modules.
Design, implement and deliver high quality code in software modules that interact with hardware.
Construct systematic code that is capable of processing large amounts of data in a time and resources critical manner.
Perform looking-ahead and maintenance coding activities (bugs, refactoring, improvement and optimizations of existing code.)
Perform code/design review to ensure adherence to Applied Materials technical standards.
Work closely with development, quality assurance, qualifications, system specifications and algorithms teams.

Requirements:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Demonstrable 3+ years of solid experience with C/C++ in a large-scale system, at least 1 of them as a senior engineer (advantage.)
- Experience in writing software modules that interact and communicate with hardware according to system specifications (major advantage.)
- Experience in real-time/embedded computing software modules (advantage.)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
- Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to dive into and understand large amounts of existing code with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Be able to work under tight deadlines while delivering production-worthy code.
- Highly motivated and enjoys a challenge.
