We are Discount Data Lab – a startup inside a bank - and we are looking for an expert machine learning engineer to help us grow and expand our current capabilities to the next level. You will join a team of extremely talented and dedicated group of ML Engineers working to support Discount Bank’s Data Lab efforts to continuously deliver quality predictive models to support strategic business processes and decisions.
Among the responsibilities are:
• Be the full owner our model pipeline standardization code (Python based)
• Be the Python ‘goto’ for the ML engineers and Data Scientists
• Conduct code review sessions to ensure standard production grade code prior to deployment to production
• Conduct research on innovative solutions and alternatives to enhance current pipeline and model’s performance

Tech skills:
(MUST)
- Experience with advanced Python knowledge and concepts (such as - OOP, Logging, Inheritance and Encapsulation, Closures and Decorators)
- Experience with Pandas, Flask, Streamlit
- Design, develop, scale, and optimize data pipelines, ETLs, and platform components
- Implement and support robust, scalable data solutions from different sources to monitor and enhance business capabilities.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux OS and shell scripts
- Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, MySQL and Oracle)
- Excellent English - reading and writing
(PREFERABLE)
- Familiarity with code review methodologies
- Understanding of ML principles
- Experience in expanding and optimizing data pipelines architecture
- Understanding of data structures, data modeling and familiarity with software architecture
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes such as Git and Jenkins
- Software backend development
