A world-renowned scientist, a leader in the field of computational materials science.

Research Interests:
The application of quantum-mechanical first-principles methods, first principles-based techniques, and semi-empirical approaches to the study of ferroelectrics and other materials.

Prof. Laurent Bellaiche has published over 400 articles in leading journals, including 4 articles in Nature, 3 articles in Science journals, and 89 in Physical Review Letters. In total, he has been cited over 25,000 times, and his HI in 2024 is 82. He is also the recipient of a Fulbright scholarship and other awards.
