Call for Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Biomedical Engineering
The school of Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Tel-Aviv University, Israel, invites outstanding candidates to apply for full-time tenure-track positions at all levels.
We seek candidates who develop innovative engineering and scientific approaches to biomedical challenges or design new tools for basic and translational research. Applicants from all areas of biomedical engineering or related disciplines are welcome. Postdoctoral experience abroad is highly desirable.
Successful candidates are expected to establish an externally funded research program and perform high-quality and creative teaching.

The School of BME conducts cutting-edge basic and applied biomedical research in the areas of biophotonics, medical imaging (MRI, ultrasound), biosensing, tissue engineering, biomaterials, biomechanics, computational genomics and machine learning in healthcare. We are open to any additional fields in Biomedical Engineering. The school maintains close collaborations with industry partners, research institutes and major hospitals in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
Our vibrant academic community includes 18 full positions faculty, 5 secondary appointment professors, and 3 emeriti, along with 13 adjunct lecturers from the High-Tech/Bio-Tech industry and national research institutions. We serve over 500 undergraduate and 100 graduate students.

Call for Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Biomedical Engineering and Sports science
The School of Biomedical Engineering (highly ranked in the top 100 in the field of Biomedical Engineering) and the Sylvan Adams Sports Institute (one of the most advanced institutes in its field in the world), at Tel-Aviv University, are looking for a tenure-track faculty member at all levels, with a research focus on the intersection of biomedical engineering and sports science.

Requirements:
- A PhD in Biomedical engineering, specializing in biomechanics, or a related field.
- Postdoctoral training or equivalent research experience
- Demonstrated record of, or strong potential for, securing external research funding
- Evidence of a strong record of peer-reviewed publications
- Evidence of an innovative and independent research agenda with potential for future impact, ideally in the fields of Biomechanics/Mechanobiology.
- Experience or demonstrated potential to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses on the topics of Biomechanics/Mechanobiology.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and collegial skills
- Strong interest and activity in interdisciplinary and collaborative research
Must-have
- Human-subjects focus on movement/performance with clear translational relevance to sport performance, health, or rehabilitation
- End-to-end human-study execution: protocol design, lab/field data collection, and biomechanical & physiological signal processing/statistics
- Hands-on expertise with ≥1 core modality: EMG, force plates/transducers, 3D motion capture (both marker-based and marker-less systems), wearables/IMUs, ultrasound, isokinetic dynamometry, or comparable human-level instrumentation
- Ability to work across labs/disciplines and co-lead human-subject projects
- Willingness and ability to collaborate with researchers across disciplines to address field-driven questions (e.g., Olympic & Paralympic committees, professional team sports)
Nice-to-have
- Machine-learning experience for biomechanical & physiological data
- Orthotics and prosthetics biomechanics experience (analysis and/or design)
- Computer vision experience and applications in biomechanics
- Publications in sports science/biomechanics/biomed journals
- Field testing with athletes
