The Faculty of Engineering's Industrial Relations Liaison Office offers assistance in establishing and nurturing a mutually beneficial connection between our students, faculty members, and the industry. We work with multiple stakeholders at TAU and beyond to facilitate these connections.
The most straightforward way to partner with us is to join the TAU Industry Affiliation Program (AIP). Through membership in the IAP you can benefit from a wide range of collaboration opportunities.
The industry has multiple opportunities to interact and collaborate with the faculty of engineering. These partnerships offer practical experiences for students and faculty, and fresh perspectives for industry partners. Industries can sponsor research projects that align with their strategic interests, leveraging the faculty's expertise to advance technological innovations. Establishing robust internship programs allows companies to offer students hands-on experience, integrating academic theories with practical applications, structured around specific projects or broader skill development. Additionally, companies and alumni are encouraged to propose challenges or project ideas for senior students' capstone projects, which push students to apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems. Hosting industry experts for guest lectures or workshops exposes students and faculty to the latest industry trends, practices, and challenges. Industries regularly fund scholarships to support promising students, especially those pursuing research in areas of industry interest. Industry professionals may also serve on advisory boards or committees within the engineering faculty, influencing curriculum development to align with industry needs and keep educational programs relevant. Finally, participating in career fairs and networking events gives companies direct access to a talent pool of soon-to-be graduates, providing platforms for preliminary interviews, future prospect discussions, and opportunities for students to explore potential career paths within these companies.
